THE WAY I SHOOT

I've probably used this phrase time and time again but I genuinely do mean it when I say that your wedding day is just that, a "wedding day, not a photo-shoot". Of course, that's just my take on things and there will be others that think differently. But, if you're looking for a photographer who will, for the most part, just blend into the background but still capture all those amazing moments, then I could just be your man.

The candid approach is very much my thing - if you don't notice me much on the day, well, that's a good thing in my book. I will still make time though for a few family group shots, although the emphasis is on "a few" as I don't think I've ever seen a couple enjoy spending over an hour ploughing through an endless list of group shots!

And then there's the "couple shoot". I break it down into two short sessions, one before and one after dinner, where we'll just go off on a wander and see what happens. I'm quite spontaneous when it comes to this and don't like to plan ahead too much and overthink things - the more natural the better :-). But I will of course always have an artistic hat on to make sure the final image has that "wow factor".

On more than one occasion, I've been called a "photo ninja" by couples and I guess in a nutshell, that pretty much sums up my approach to the day and, hopefully, yours too...

"We recently got our wedding album and we and our whole family were blown away by it!! Mike has captured the essence of our day from start to finish! What an amazing keepsake from the most amazing day!! Couldn’t have asked for anything more!! Mike was amazing from start to finish and able to give us what we asked for, nothing was too much trouble!! An amazing photographer!! Thank you so much!!!"
