Please read the following policy carefully before submitting any information to me to ensure that you fully understand how any of your personal information will be processed by me.
I am fully committed to protecting your privacy. I collect and process personal information about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and, in particular, with the notification that I have made to the Data Protection Commissioner under that Act.
On 25 May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives individuals more control over how personal information is used and imposes tighter obligations on Mike Cook Photography who use your personal data. GDPR is an essential requirement for companies who deal with personal data and relates only to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Given the change to the privacy laws I have made the required changes to my Terms and Conditions.
Personal information must be collected with justification and;

· Processed for limited purposes
· Adequate, relevant and not excessive
· Accurate and up to date
· Kept no longer than is necessary
· Processed in line with data subject’s rights
· Secure (electronic and written)
· Not transferred to other countries
Mike Cook Photography only collects the minimum amount of data required in order to provide the best service for you and to be able to contact you if need be.
Mike Cook Photography collects information about you to process your enquiry.
Mike Cook Photography will retain your information for 3 years once all contractual obligations have been completed, ie supply of pictures or wedding album. If you wish your information to be deleted at any point before the three years have elapsed, please contact me.
I do NOT pass any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, address or enquiry) to any third parties, except when acting on your behalf to enable me to deliver my service. There are only two possible cases where I would pass on personally identifiable information;
· If you request me to do so
· If I am legally required to do so
In both cases, I will only ever pass on the minimum amount of information that I consider necessary to fulfil these obligations.
I will never e-mail you unless you have given me your consent. If you receive any unsolicited e-mail from Mike Cook Photography please contact me immediately.
If any of your details change over time, please send an email to me. Please ensure that the records I hold are always kept up to date and accurate.
Your information is stored on drives that have several layers of protection to block unauthorised access to your information.
