“Albert Halls” Wedding : Jennifer & Fraser

One thing I would say about the current coronavirus situation, is that it certainly is giving me the chance to catch up on blogging last year’s weddings, what with no new weddings on the horizon, and just the odd album design to work on now and then, it’s pretty much all that I’m doing just now, apart from trying to keep the kids entertained that is … which, if truth be told, is actually harder than shooting a wedding LOL!

My last wedding of September last year took me back to the Albert Halls and, yes guys, that is the “Albert Halls” (in Stirling no less) not the Albert Hall, that big place in London :-). Jennifer & Fraser’s big day was pretty much the sort of day that I love to shoot these days … a fabulous party with just a brief interlude for a few group shots and a couple of short bride & groom sessions because, as you know, I’ve never been one to want to take anyone away from a great party!

The guys were very kind enough to send me a few words that sum up their experience of the day …

We found Mike an absolute pleasure to deal with from beginning to end, and knew when we met him for our pre-wedding meeting that we had absolutely chosen the right photographer for our wedding. Jennifer wanted action shots rather than staged pictures and Mike undertook his job on the big day in a calm and measured manner and made it look easy.  If you didn’t know you would have thought he was a guest he was that discreet LOL. He managed to capture such a diverse range of pictures from dawn until dusk – getting so many of those wow moments without you realising he is even there. His reputation of being the photo ninja couldn’t be more accurate! Thanks Mike!

Jennifer & Fraser, 9th April 2020

You guys know that my shooting style on the day is very documentary, very observational, capturing real stuff not “fake” – in fact, I’m at my happiest when everyone actually forgets I’m there!!! But that’s a good thing :-).

I’m not one for too many words and, I guess that after all, if I’ve done my job properly, the pictures should give you a pretty good insight into how the day went down …

Jennifer & Fraser, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like. Oh, and stay safe people :-).

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)

Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
