More wedding photography today as I found myself heading for The Vu in Bathgate for the wedding of Fiona & Martyn, but not before a quick stop off at the Inchyra Grange hotel first, where Fiona & the girls were getting ready. With dress & detail shots complete, I continued on to The Vu to catch up with the guys pre-ceremony.
The Vu really is a unique venue, set as it is in the middle of Ballencrieff Reservoir. The shots on the pier looking out across the reservoir have been done many a time by many a photographer, but it would be mad not to do the same, this being one of the iconic wedding images to be captured in this part of the world. I did try to add something a little but different by bringing out the flash which I thought would look interesting considering the moody grey sky.
