“Brig o’Doon” Wedding : Emma & Greg

Boy did I shoot some fabulous weddings in August last year … and what a busy month … rounded off perfectly on the last day of the month with another visit down to the fabulous Brig o’ Doon House Hotel for Emma & Greg’s wedding day :-).

Sometimes, there’s a bit of a misconception when I say that I am primarily a “documentary” wedding photographer – that doesn’t mean that I don’t shoot “any” family group shots or any “staged” bride & groom shots … it’s just that I keep these to an absolute minimum – you know, roughly 10 group shots and a couple of very short bride & groom shoots, usually one before and one after dinner … meaning you, as a couple, get to spend more of your day with the people that matter, rather than feeling you’ve been in a photoshoot all day :-).

Indeed, when it comes to the bride & groom shoots, short as they are, I do like to get a wee bit creative on these and try and give couples something that has that “wow” factor – it really will vary from wedding to wedding! In fact, earlier this week, I got notification that I’d made it into the World’s Top 50 Artistic Guild Photographers by the WPJA, which bases itself purely on those aforementioned “artistic” shots … very pleased indeed was I :-).

So what of Emma & Greg’s day? Well, in all honesty, I’ve never been the best at putting pen to paper about these things … I am a photographer after all not a journalist. And hey, isn’t that what the pictures are for anyway – if you weren’t there, but can look at the shots below and get a good feel as to how the day panned out, well I guess I’ve done my job LOL. Needless to say, it was a truly fabulous day!!!

Emma & Greg, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)

Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
