“Carberry Tower” Wedding : Holly & Ian

So guys, in one of those strange twists, I find myself blogging a Carberry Tower wedding from September last year, having only been at the very same venue a few days ago for my third wedding of this year! And look … it was sunny again! Honestly, from all the weddings I’ve shot at Carberry over the years, I can’t recall a time when it wasn’t sunny – there, that’s me put the curse on things now for the next one LOL.

You know, choosing the cover image for the blog, that’s the one above, isn’t an easy job. Typically, I’ve always been drawn to one of the more “arty” pictures in the hope that it grabs people’s attention and makes them want to look at more – especially for potential new couples who might be looking to book :-). But, as the way I shoot a wedding has changed over the last few years, and I’ve gradually moved to a more “documentary” style, a picture like the one above definitely better reflects how I work and what I love doing. Sure, I do still squeeze in a few “arty” ones too (and some family shots) but really not too much … and I work pretty quick too so defo won’t keep you away from the party for long!

Holly & Ian’s big day brought to an end yet another “double wedding weekend” and I think it’s fair to say that by this time of the year I was well “bedded in” to the season and was almost at the end of my manic August & September period. What a tonic then to be shooting a day such as this with a brilliant couple, great family and friends, stunning venue and, lest we not forget, the aforementioned fabulous warm sunny weather … cashback – as we say down South LOL.

Anyway, enough waffle guys … on with the pictures …

Holly & Ian, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for “Reportage” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!

My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short bride & groom shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2023 and 2024 … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.

Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
