“Cornhill Castle” Wedding : Lauren & Scott

Well it’s certainly was a longtime coming – 22 weeks, 154 days, however you want to put it between my second and third weddings of the year, but, a few weeks ago, I was back out again doing what I love and shooting Lauren & Scott’s fabulous day at Cornhill Castle.

Of course, the current restrictions did mean that the day was scaled back a wee bit, with only the ceremony taking place at the venue and then back to Lauren’s parent’s house for the reception afterwards. And with large gatherings still not permitted, the wedding was attended by just close family and friends, all making for a more intimate feel to the day … not a bad thing though :-).

Let me say it here, I love shooting at Cornhill and even moreso when blessed with the ultra warm day that we were greeted with a few weeks back … as I sit here just now with the rain lashing down outside … feels like summer’s over already after just the one wedding LOL! Ah well!

The guys were kind enough to put a few words together for me to sum up their thoughts …

After postponing our original May date, and rescheduling many times after that, we finally had our special day on Saturday 8th of August. We made the decision to go ahead with our wedding with just our immediate family as we didn’t want to wait any longer to tie the knot! We had the best day ever, even better than we could have imagined. The sun was shining, lockdown was lifting and for us, it was the perfect time to have our big day. Mike captured the day perfectly, and everyone has commented that they forgot he was even there! We love that we have such wonderful photos to share with all of our loved ones who we couldn’t have with us on the day due to the restrictions in place. We look forward to celebrating with all of our family and friends in the future.

Lauren & Scott

Thanks guys for these very kind words :-).

Lauren & Scott, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like. Oh, and stay safe people :-).

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)

Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
