Second wedding in three days for me and today I’m at the Garfield Hotel in Stepps, near Glasgow, to shoot the wedding of Jenna & Gary. Weather can’t seem to make its mind up – overcast, bit of light rain, then some sun (very welcome) – thankfully, when it came to going outdoors for the group shots and the bride & groom coverage, we were in the sunny part of the day, phew!
I’d met Jenna a couple of times before at the hotel to discuss the wedding day and we had the opportunity to run through the shots that we were going to do on the day, allowing of course, provision for a wet day as well (thankfully not needed). And, as far as memory serves, we did manage to get all the shots that we had planned – thanks guys for walking down the middle of the road (I love doing these shots but am always wary of the traffic – wouldn’t have tried it on the nearby A80 for example).
Big shout out to little Connor as well, for probably being one of the most well-behaved kids I’ve ever photographed – honestly, you usually can’t get the little guys to stand still for more than a few seconds but today, when presenting the rings during the ceremony, the little chap just stood there, grinning straight at camera for what seemed like an eternity – allowed me to get a good few shots in no problem.
