So guys, another week, or should we say another “lockdown” week and, yep another blog post – at this rate, I’ll blog all my weddings before I get to shoot any new ones … I kid you not!
Continuing today then with another of my weddings from October last year and, after a cheeky few days away at Center Parcs, I was straight back into the fold for Hannah & Kris’ big day at Edinburgh’s Napier University campus … my first ever visit there.
The guys were very kind enough to send me a few words that sum up their experience of the day …
“We had a fantastic wedding day, relaxed and chilled which is exactly what we wanted. The day before was spent with our family and friends adding our own special touches to the venue which was so much fun. The day then arrived and we both surprised everyone (and ourselves!) at how ridiculously calm we were when getting ready! Mike definitely helped with this and was one of the reasons we chose him to be our photographer as we were looking for a relaxed day where we could spend as much time as possible with our guests. Mike’s ideas for wedding photography are exactly that! Mike is a brilliant photographer, capturing candid shots without you even realising. He also prioritised the family shots we were looking for which was so well organised and ensured we had these memories from the day but that we could also get back to celebrating with our guests ASAP! Thanks to Mike for capturing our day so well and for all his hard work on our photos that will be treasured forever.’

You guys know that my shooting style on the day is very documentary, very observational, capturing real stuff not “fake” – in fact, I’m at my happiest when everyone actually forgets I’m there!!! But that’s a good thing :-).
I’m not one for too many words and, I guess that after all, if I’ve done my job properly, the pictures should give you a pretty good insight into how the day went down …

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
