Second wedding of the weekend and today I’m a bit closer to home to kick things off, at Beancross in Falkirk to be exact where I’m meeting up with Jacqueline for the bridal prep shots ahead of her marriage to Christopher. The guys wedding ceremony is actually taking place in Stirling at the Church of the Holy Rude, before a quick hop step over to Stirling Castle for the group and bride & groom pics.
To say I’m a bit concerned about the weather is an understatement – rain is forecast for later and Stirling Castle is not really where I want to be in a downpour. Anyway, things are fine as we quick off so it’s fingers crossed. The irony of it all is, once we reached Stirling for the ceremony, we were greeted by bright sunshine – c`est la vie!
Jacqueline & Christopher only booked with me a couple of months back, so things have moved pretty quickly from that point, including their pre-wedding shoot which we got some great images from and, on that day, we visited the Castle to pre-plan what we would do come the wedding day, and that planning really pays off as we all know exactly what we’re doing come the important bride & groom shots today. Love shooting at the Castle, I could spend hours here just walking around choosing different locations for images, but hours we do not have today, as it’s off back to Beancross for the reception and, wouldn’t you know it, I’m only in the car five minutes and it starts bucketting down with rain – how lucky were we? Bit different to yesterday where it only rained while we were doing the bride & groom’s pics.
