Back at Solsgirth House in Stirlingshire today for the second time in a month, this time on wedding photography duty with Lisa & Neil. I love photographing weddings here; first up, it’s a private venue so you pretty much have the run of the place to yourself all day; it also has some great backdrops for shots both inside and out (all important if the weather decides not to play ball) and finally it’s quite close to home for me :-), not that that’s ever much of an issue, as I’ll shoot weddings pretty much anywhere you ask me to, but it’s nice every once in a while to be home for Match of the Day!
Aside from a brief stop at Lisa’s parents house first thing for some bridal prep shots, the whole day is taking place here at Solsgirth. And, I know I’ve banged this drum many times, it really really does make a difference time wise, as no time is lost in travelling between venues, if your ceremony and reception are in a different place – so no desperate scramble to get all the shots done before dinner today then. Instead, everything is pretty relaxed and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves (and that includes me of course).
