“The Vu” Wedding : Aimee & Alan

Week 5 (I think) in “lockdown” so, what else but onwards with another fabulous wedding from last year, October to be more precise, when I made the relatively short trip to a venue that I know quite well these days, The Vu, for Aimee & Alan’s big day.

The guys were very kind enough to send me such a lot of nice words to sum up the day, that I probably don’t need to add any more myself …

“We had spent some time researching photographers for our big day and were struggling to choose. As we were not planning to book a videographer, we wanted to ensure our photographer captured every aspect of our wedding day whilst also finding a balance between quality and value for money. One evening, we met Mike for a pre-booking appointment and were blown away by not only his style of photography but by his passion for his work. This passion set him apart from the other photographers that we had met and we just knew we had to book him for our wedding day.

The big day came around quicker than we had anticipated and was truly everything we could have hoped for. Despite running two weddings that day, The Vu’s seamless schedule meant that we did not come into contact with the second wedding party at all, and we managed to make the most of the crisp bright day for our photos. Mike was patient and professional throughout the group and couple ‘posed’ shots, and demonstrated that ninja style skill we have all heard about by being almost invisible throughout the day. We were truly surprised by the way he managed to catch so many ‘in the moment’ shots and will treasure the memories he has helped us capture of our special day.

We thank all of the professionals we worked with in making our wedding day so joy-filled, stress free and absolutely perfect in every way.”

Aimee & Alan, 25th April 2020

You guys know that my shooting style on the day is very documentary, very observational, capturing real stuff not “fake” – in fact, I’m at my happiest when everyone actually forgets I’m there!!! But that’s a good thing :-).

Aimee & Alan, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like. Oh, and stay safe people :-).

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)

Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
