Onwards then guys with featuring this years weddings :-). As I type this, I still have another five weddings to shoot this year which will make it 63 in total by the time I’m all done and dusted, making this, from recollection, my second busiest year ever, aside from the year I went bonkers and shot over 70 weddings – I’ve deliberately cut back since then for obvious reasons :-).
So back at the end of March, we had another one of those fabulous early Spring sunshine days for Leanne & Stuart’s big day at the Crutherland House Hotel. I’d only ever shot one wedding before at the Crutherland so it was great to be back again.
Well, what can I say – when you shoot so many weddings, of course, you remember them all but there’s always a few that stand out just for the sheer enjoyment of the day and this was certainly one of those! You know, I sometimes get asked by couples for a few tips as to how they can make their pictures look great and, I’ll be honest, I say the same thing every time and that is…just enjoy yourself! I know it sounds like an obvious thing but sometimes the stress of the day can take over and you spend more time on the day worrying about this and that rather than just, excuse my French, having “a bloody good time”. Enjoy yourself, and your pictures will reflect that :-).

I love shooting weddings and, for the most part, I adopt a “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for those important family group shots and also, a relaxed bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly amazing pictures…not just your standard stuff :-).
