Wedding Photography at Mar HallNicole & Joe

Hey guys, if you’re reading this post today, as in the day that I posted it, then…it’s my birthday!!! If you’re not, then it “was” my birthday as many days ago as it’s taken you to read this :-). I’m 53 years young today and don’t mind admitting to it. I don’t feel 53…and a lot of people say I don’t look it either :-)…thank you people, you’re too kind. One thing is for sure…I certainly don’t act it LOL.

But, birthday or not, it’s a normal working day for me today so very pleased this fine day to be posting up yet another new wedding for you from the tail end of last year, late September to be exact…this time, it’s Nicole & Joe’s big day at the fabulous Mar Hall, where I’ve shot quite a few weddings now.

You know, the thing with wedding days, is that they don’t always go to plan and, if there’s one thing that’s sure to alter the plan for the day, it’s the weather. I guess I should know by now the unpredictability of it all and, despite the fabulous “sunny with a bit of cloud” start to the day, lasting into the afternoon, come the reception, the heaven’s opened and almost, I will say “almost”, scuppered the post dinner shoot that we had planned overlooking the Clyde…usually some fabulous shots to be had.

But being 53 and older and wiser (some say), has taught me to never say never. A quick jig of the schedule…and a lucky partial break in the rain, left us just enough time to head outside after the first few dances had ended, making these my last shots of the night before heading home. Sure, it wasn’t the late evening skies that we’d hoped for (cue very black skies instead), it wasn’t overlooking the Clyde as we’d hoped for (as you couldn’t even see the Clyde), but the shots we did get in front of the fairly lights and the now illuminated Mar Hall, are probably some of my favourites from the day :-). All’s well that ends well, as they say!

Nicole and Joe, thank you for asking me to shoot your amazing day. Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like…PS – best viewed on a desktop (click on any thumbnail to view L A R G E!).

Please all feel free to leave a comment at the bottom, as I love to know what you think…cheers all!

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

I love shooting weddings and, for the most part, I adopt a “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for those important family group shots and also, a relaxed bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly amazing pictures…not just your standard stuff :-). To know more about my wedding day  approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

Full day coverage collections start at £1300…but I do also offer a cheeky wee discount that can save you up to £400 :-).

Mike :-).
