“Wood Farm” Wedding : Lauren & Callum

So guys, back in June, the very first day in June to be exact, I did this wonderful thing and travelled on a 700 mile round trip to shoot Lauren & Callum’s big day down in Northamptonshire. I’m always forever thankful to couples that book with me and trust me to shoot their day, and that applies even more when those couples are well outside my usual “stamping ground”, for want of a better word! Will I travel anywhere for a wedding…you better believe it…although I am still waiting for that first overseas one – and I guess you can’t call the Isle of Arran overseas either!!!

Of course, you wouldn’t expect me to travel all that way on the morning of the wedding so naturally, I set off the day before, leaving behind the drizzle here in Scotland and heading into what was to be a total scorcher of a weekend “down south”, stopping off for an impromptu visit at the venue on the way past…always good to get your bearings in advance :-).

So what of the day itself? You know, it’s funny but sometimes with the passing of time you totally forget what happened on the day, and only now when I’m looking at the pictures I’ve chosen for the blog, does it all come flooding back…guess that’s what pictures are meant to be for anyway, aren’t they :-). So, kicking off at the house in Newnham with the usual bridal prep, before popping along to the local pub where all the guys were meeting up, back to the house and then round the corner to St. Michael & All Angels Church for the ceremony. And then off to Wood Farm Venue in nearby Everdon for the reception…by horse & carriage no less – no, not me, the guys!

Well, what can I say? What an amazing day. Were there any negatives? For me, just the one as the mighty Spurs were beaten in the Champions League final that very same evening – oh well, can’t win them all I guess.

Lauren & Callum, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day. Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Please all feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I love to know what you think :-).

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

I love shooting weddings and, for the most part, I adopt a “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a relaxed bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly amazing pictures…not just your standard stuff :-). To know more about my wedding day  approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021…but I do have a limited number of 2020 dates still available too.

Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Mike :-).
