Been a few weeks since I put a new post on here, mainly due to yours truly taking a wee sabbatical whilst our child-minder is on holiday – try running a business with a three year old and a seven month old in the house??? Anyway, almost back in full stride again so, good chance to post a few images from Ailie & Peter’s wedding day back at the start of July. Fairly local for me as the ceremony was at Larbert Old Church which I can actually see from my bedroom window (and where sat navs seem to send anyone trying to find our house – honestly, these houses were built about seven years ago now, you would think that sat navs would be updated by now).
Beautiful scorching hot day as I recall as I kicked off at Ailie’s parents house for the bridal prep shots with the usual buzz of nervousness, excitement and anticipation (and that was only me :-)). Then off to the church where I manage to get a few quick shots of the guys before getting set up for the ceremony and Ailie’s arrival. Larbert Old Church has got to be the darkest church that I’ve ever shot in. It’s not always apparent to the eye, as your eye (unlike a camera) will compensate for the darkness. Boy am I grateful that the cameras these days can cope in these conditions, especially when I’m not permitted to use flash – if I say ISO3200 to my photographer friends, you will know what I mean!
We like the colours of the bridesmaids dresses and flowers. Very feminine and pretty!…… Simply roses….looks great! Andrew Nicholas-Exclusive Floral Designs.
