Arta Wedding : Claire & Ronnie

I can’t recall if I mentioned last time out, that May was a busy month for me – six weddings and culminating in a trip “down South” to Northamptonshire too. Plus, there was the small matter of the Champions League drama and all that, and I can tell you guys, that I was still on a total high when it came to shooting Claire & Ronnie’s big day, following Spurs’ last minute winning goal in the semi-final a couple of days previous – pity it didn’t work out in the final but that’s how it goes sometimes!

Wedding Photography at Oran Mor | Ali & Tom’s Wedding Album

Did I mention recently how many albums are coming and going from the studio just now…just once or twice I think :-). Must be a post Christmas thing where couples sit down and finalize their album selections and designs…and, the latest to leave “chez Mike” was from a wedding I shot back in 2013 – Sarah & Martin’s to be exact at the very fabulous Lochside House Hotel where, and having been there a few times now I can vouch for this, the food is totally wonderful…bot do I look forward to my break when I’m working there!

So yes, 2013 wedding but hey, that’s no issue as there’s absolutely no time limit on how long it takes to finalize the album design and I do understand that the stresses and strains of everyday life do sometimes mean that things like picking pictures for your wedding album do take a back seat…I still have an album pending from a 2012 wedding would you believe!

      Glasgow Wedding Photography:
Aileen & Scott at Oran Mor

Blog posts coming thick and fast at the moment after my short sabatical and today I’m very pleased to be sharing some images from Aileen & Scott’s wedding last month at the fantastic Oran Mor in Glasgow. The guys only booked me about a month before the wedding due to a few issues with their existing photographer and, naturally, I’m really pleased they did as this was a fantastic day all round. Beautiful day weather wise so had to make sure I had the old factor 15 on to avoid the customary sunburnt head – still failed badly though.

Big football theme going on with Scott being a huge Motherwell fan and Aileen following Celtic – hope I’ve got that the right way round guys as I know how important these things can be – it’s like someone having me down as an Arsenal supporter!!! Seemed to recall that James McFadden featured quite heavily in the speeches as well – Scott’s favourite player I recall for which he took the usual ribbing from the masses. Loved all the football related table decorations and football pitch table plan…now, if only I had thought along those lines as a theme for my own wedding, although not sure it would have got past the gatekeeper (ie the missus).
