“Arta” Wedding : Megan & Panny

More exploits from this year’s weddings for you today folks and, this time around, I’m delighted muchly to be presenting part two of my inaugural “double header” from back in February. Wedding No.2 of the year took me into Glasgow’s Merchant City, Arta to be exact, for Megan & Panny’s big day. Subscribers to the blog (you know who you are LOL) will recall my first wedding of the year took place at Edinburgh’s Ghillie Dhu, not too dissimilar from Arta funnily enough with its dark, atmospheric, characterful vibe :-). That’ll be flashes on overdrive then … but you guys know I love that!

Michelle & David at St. Brigid’s Church

You’ve gotta love the good old British weather! One day it’s this and another day it’s that. Feels like this summer there’s been more “that” than “this”, “that” of course being rain. To be fair, I’d been quite lucky this wedding season with the weather – even on days where rain was predicted, I somehow seemed to dodge it, or it did indeed rain but while everyone was sitting down for dinner. Well today folks, my luck ran out.

      Glasgow Wedding Photography:
Lynsey & Brian at the Dalmeny Park Country House Hotel

Following straight on from my last post, I’m back out again with Lynsey & Brian, this time for their wedding day at the beautiful Dalmeny Park Country House Hotel. I kicked off early today and dropped by at Dalmeny on my way to meet Lynsey for the bridal prep shots. The hotel staff were telling me that they’d had two weddings the previous day and it totally poured down relentlessly ruling out any outdoor photography whatsoever. A look at the skies told me that the same fate might bestow me today, so fingers crossed, as the Dalmeny has some fantastic gardens for photography. One thing I do know, however, is that all chance of an outdoor ceremony has been and gone as the grass is absolutely soaking, and we all know that high heels (for the ladies, not me, of course) and wet grass do not go!

Kirstie & David at Mar Hall

So folks, here we go, my busiest weekend of the year thus far, three weddings in three days, kicking of with Kirstie & David in the beautiful setting of Mar Hall, just outside Glasgow. Seems like a while ago now that we did the guys pre-wedding shoot, but the images from that are some of my favourites this year, so all augured well for today.

        Glasgow Wedding Photography:
Laura & Ian at the University of Glasgow

End of a really busy week and my third wedding in the last six days and, believe it or not, the glorious weather just keeps on coming. Today I’m with Laura & Ian for their wedding at the University of Glasgow followed up with their reception at the fabulous Oran Mor. It wasn’t that long ago that we did their pre-wedding shoot and, if memory serves me correctly, it was a bit misty and murky that day, so today’s weather is most welcome.
