Arta Wedding : Claire & Ronnie

I can’t recall if I mentioned last time out, that May was a busy month for me – six weddings and culminating in a trip “down South” to Northamptonshire too. Plus, there was the small matter of the Champions League drama and all that, and I can tell you guys, that I was still on a total high when it came to shooting Claire & Ronnie’s big day, following Spurs’ last minute winning goal in the semi-final a couple of days previous – pity it didn’t work out in the final but that’s how it goes sometimes!

Arta Wedding : Chloe & Liam

For anyone that read my last wedding post on here (you know who you are :-)), you’ll know that Christmas definitely wasn’t a quiet time for me, and Chloe & Liam’s big day at Arta was to be the first of three weddings that I shot in the space of four days between Christmas & New Year – wow, so many numbers!

Ingliston Country Club Wedding : Kerry-Anne & Andrew

My last wedding of October last year took me to a completely new venue for me (which doesn’t happen much these days now), namely, the Corinthian Club in the heart of Glasgow, for Abby & Paul’s big day. And what a stunning setting – I mean, just look at those lights for starters :-).

Of course, you know guys that my shooting style is very much based on staying in the background (“ninja” like :-)), capturing the moment etc etc, rather than a ton of awkward posed shots, false camera smiles, taking the bride & groom away for ages and so on…and that very much suited the mood of the day…one hell of a party with family and friends!

But, you know me, we did manage to sneak in a very brief couple shoot straight after dinner, making use of the incredible Boutique Champagne Bar – what a backdrop :-).

Wedding Photography at Oran MorLaura & John

One of these days, I may very well catch up with my blogging, instead of running about 5 months behind…until that day though…

My penultimate wedding in September last year took me back once again to the fabulous Oran Mor in Glasgow for Laura & John’s big day. And, random fact #1, I’ve now shot four Laura & John weddings, making it my most popular couple name…there, I did say it was a “random fact!!

But boy, what about the weather…take a look below people and you see those shots of Laura walking from the car to the venue, yep, that was the only time we got outside that day :-(…totally poured down…just as well the guys hadn’t booked the Botanics for pictures.

Still, Oran Mor is quite the venue and has a few good spots inside for photography, so not to panic and, if I’m being honest, I think it very much suited the mood of the day to keep the bride & groom shoot short and for everyone to, well, just have a grand old time, which they certainly did; I mean, just take a look at the pictures below :-).
