“Glenbervie House” Wedding : Jennifer & Blair

Hey guys, back after a few weeks off from the blog and, although it seems strange to say so at this time of the month but, Happy New Year to you all!!! Well, it is my first post this year after all LOL. And, after what can only be described as a totally full on second half of 2021, what with all the COVID related postponements kicking in, I’m thankful that this year back to looking something like normal :-).

    Martha & Stephen’s Wedding Album

Call me old fashioned, but even in this digital age, I still believe that a high quality wedding album is the best way to really show off your wedding pictures and today, I’m delighted to be sharing one of the latest designs to leave the office.

Martha & Stephen were married last July at St. Leonard’s Church in Dunfermline before heading over to my local venue, Glenbervie House, for their reception, and what a glorious day it was guys, blessed with some fabulous summer sunshine…oh yes, the old factor 30 was definitely in use that day!

For their album, the guys chose one of Graphistudio’s “Young Books” with a whopping 68 pages. The “book in a box” concept of the Young Book allows for many different combinations of colours and materials and, for their album, the guys opted for a a purple cloud leather finish and took up the option of using one of their pictures on the inside cover of the box.

Wedding Photography at Glenbervie House | Maria & Grant’s Wedding Album

As the year draws to a close, I’ll be sharing quite a few weddings and wedding albums here on the blog, and today I’m delighted to be kicking off with a look back at Maria & Grant’s wedding at my local venue, Glenbervie House, back in April. I wrote an article about the wedding back in May and, for those that are interested, you can find it here – but today, it’s all about their wedding album.

For their album, the guys chose one of Graphistudio’s “Original Wedding Books”  and opted for a classic white distressed leather cover with raised varnish printing, bound in the very stylish grey & white woven spine. This was all topped off by a complementing design box in white cloud leather…very nice 🙂

Wedding Photography at Glenbervie House | Martha & Stephen

About a year ago, I made a promise to myself that I would stop shooting wedding “triple headers”, ie three weddings on three consecutive days – why, you may ask? Well, primarily so that I could could keep myself fresh and not slightly jaded by the time I reached wedding no.3, which could sometimes happen, although, on a couple of occasions, I’ve even shot four weddings in a row! Well, I kept that promise and Martha & Stephen’s wedding was the first wedding of my last triple header…ever.

So, we’re heading back to the end of July and accompanied by some glorious warm sunshine, the day kicked off at St. Leonard’s in Dunfermline and then off up the road to my local venue, Glenbervie House, where, I must be honest, I’ve now lost count of the number of weddings I’ve shot here…but that is a good thing…local knowledge and all that :-).

Weddings days, by their very nature, are often filled with plenty of fun and laughter but, on this day, I’d say that there was just that bit more than usual…just check out the pictures below and you’ll see what I mean…fabulous day :-).

A grand day was had by all. Personal favourite pictures so far; Stephen, Scud, Bridog the Invincible (first of his name) and myself standing outside of the church looking like absolute reprobates; any one of the wedding party photographs; and the picture of Martha and Stephen dancing whilst Danny and Scud struggle to hold each other up in the background.

          Top Notch.ReplyCancel

Wedding Photography at Glenbervie House | Laura & Scott’s Wedding Album

So last week, it was great to catch up briefly again with Laura & Scott as they dropped by the home studio to collect their wedding album. The guys were married last spring at my local venue, the very fabulous Glenbervie House :-).

For their album, the guys chose Graphistudio’s very stylish Young Book and went for one of the classic black & white “touch” combinations for the box and album, complemented with a powder pink ribbon to match the colour of the wedding day.
