“Inglewood House” Wedding (+ Showreel) : Gaynor & George

Well here we are then guys, my first wedding of 2024 and what a big surprise it was too!!! Not to me – it’s not as though I was dragged from the house to shoot a wedding I knew nothing about, or anything like that. No, a big surprise to all the guests (or the majority at least), who thought they’d been invited to a pre-wedding party but instead found they were attending Gaynor & George’s actual wedding instead!

“Inglewood House” Wedding : Claire & Craig

The first few weeks of a New Year usually, for me anyway, represent a quieter time of year in being out shooting weddings. Of course, there’s always the odd exception (I was out this very weekend on my first wedding of the year in fact) but, generally, it’s a great time to catch up, take stock, revamp the website, do the tax return!!! and also blog more, which leads us to today!

Wedding Photography at Inglewood House Niki & Steven

Wedding no.7 of the year for me was part two of my first “double header” weekend of the year and I was back on my second visit to the fabulous Inglewood House for the wedding of Niki & Steven.

I do get asked from time to time how many weddings I will shoot “on the spin” if you like and my answer to that is in fact “two”, that’s where I draw the line. In the past I have tackled three in a row and, on two occasions, actually shot four in a row…yes folks, four weddings on four consecutive days. But, my view these days is that in order to be able to give my very best on a wedding day, I will shoot no more than two!

Wedding Photography at Inglewood House | Jackie & Brian

Third day on the spin posting weddings from last year and, mid September, I was on my first ever visit to the very grand Inglewood House for Jackie & Brian’s wedding. September was actually my busiest month for weddings last year with seven to shoot in total – in fact, September and October seem to be becoming very popular months for weddings, overtaking the traditional May-August months in terms of bookings for me!

Jackie & Brian were not too fussed about having too many “posed” shots, preferring to just enjoy the day with the family and friends, and just set aside a little time for a few family shots and and a short bride & groom session…happy to oblige :-).
