If ever weddings were totally suited to the way I work, then Eve & Martyn’s big day at the fabulous Lochside House Hotel at the end of March would be right up there! What an amazing day to shoot, wall to wall of incredible moments to capture just as they happened with barely no intervention from yours truly! Just the way I like it.
Two blog posts in one week – what’s the world coming to eh guys! Yep, it’s definitely that “end of wedding season” vibe where I can devote most of my time to playing “catch-up” on the blog and today, I’ve got something a bit special for you and part 1 of a rare wedding double-header from back in September! And, it was also my 500th wedding too!!!
So back in June, a busy run of four weddings in eight days culminated in another trip to the gorgeous Lochside House Hotel for Nicola & Marc’s big day :-). To say I’d shot a few weddings at Lochside before would be an understatement – I’ve probably been there as many times as I’ve been anywhere over the 13 years I’ve been doing this thing called “wedding photography” but, trust me, it never fails to disappoint and remains one of my favourite venues to shoot!
I’ve had a wee break from the blog of late guys, primarily to update my website a little bit – change the style, add some new gallery pages and all that … a change is always a good thing, well usually anyway! Anyway, back to it today though with more weddings from last year and, this time around, I’m delighted to be featuring the fabulous day I spent with Claire & Andrew down at one of my favourite venues, Lochside House.
So like, yeah, February is, in general, a quiet month for me. Along with January, I’d say they’re the quietest months of the year for me in terms of new weddings to shoot – does give me a chance to play catch up though :-). But, that’s not to say I don’t get any at all and, although I had just the one February wedding this year, what a cracker as Amanda & Mark celebrated their big day at the fabulous Lochside House Hotel.
