Wedding Photography at Glenbervie House:
Lynsey & Derek

Lynsey & Derek’s wedding at Glenbervie House marked the start of a run of three weddings in three days for me. I’ve always said that I would never shoot more than three on the spin but, hey, come next month, there’s the possibility that I may be doing four – better get in training then:-).

Wedding Photography at Glenbervie House:
Michelle & Steven

So, this pushing out two blog posts on a Wednesday is becoming quite the thing for me – two last week and now two this week – I need to break these bad habits…and I’m working late shift again to boot. But, needs must as it’s a busy time of the year for me with 8 weddings this month alone, which include a double header (just this weekend gone) and a triple header (I kid you not) at the end of the month.

So guys, this fine Wednesday evening, I’m delighted to share with you some images from Michelle & Steven’s wedding at my local venue, Glenbervie House, back in March. I do love shooting at Glenbervie, and not only as it’s just five minutes up the road :-). But, this time, I also got to sample the amaze-balls that is the Coach House where all the guys were getting ready from. I’ve never been here before and the place is stunning – the perfect place to start your big day! And , from a personal point of view, brilliant for photography – even doing the detail shots, for once I had an absolute ton of room to move around :-).

Even though the Coach House is but a short hop to the main building at Glenbervie, the girls had a car arranged for the trip – wise given the circumstances of swirling wind and rain and, hey, you just know it’s going to be a good day when the car with Michelle in came up the drive back-lit by a rainbow..and that doesn’t happen too often trust me!

Falkirk Wedding Photography:
Caroline & George at The Three Kings

Well people, wonders will never cease, two posts to the old blog on the same day; well, it might be the same day if I can get this posted before the clock ticks midnight! If not, well, I’ll either turn into a pumpkin or, rather mischievously, the internal clock will show this as a post on the 12th July which, technically I guess it will be but of course it won’t then reflect my blogging marathon this evening. Perhaps if I stopped waffling, I might have a fighting chance of beating the clock.

So guys, today I’m delighted to be sharing some images from Caroline & George’s wedding at The Three Kings in Falkirk back at the beginning of June (told you I ws a bit behind with blogging). I’ve photographed at The Three Kings a couple of times before and, every time I’ve been there, the atmosphere on the day has been amazing and that’s no exception today either. After a brief stop at the house for some bridal prep shots, the first thing that strikes me on arrive at the venue is the number of guys in the same kilts! Usually, you’ll find the groom, best man, ushers and fathers wearing the same attire but today, crikey, there must be about 40+ all the same – looks great in the image below.

Falkirk Wedding Photography:
Lesley & Mark at Glenbervie House

Back at Glenbervie today for the second time in four days – honestly, wedding venues are like buses sometimes; nothing for ages and then two come along together! Not that I’m complaining though, as I love shooting at Glenbervie and, here’s the thing, it’s only five minutes up the road from me, so Match of the Day is a distinct possibility. But not today though…firstly because, well, it’s a Thursday and also, more importantly, I have the honour of being a guest at the wedding as well.

Lesley & Mark are friends of ours and I was delighted when they asked if I would photograph their big day. And, being a guest meant, for once, that I was able to sit down at the reception and enjoy the meal, rather than bringing the usual sandwiches and a bag of crisps :-). And the great thing about today is that we’ve finally got some half decent weather – slightly chilly but the sun is shining and, believe me, I haven’t been able to use that line very much this year in my blog posts!

Falkirk Wedding Photography:
Shonagh & Andrew at Glenbervie House

Busy times at “Chez Cook” Photography – not sure if that phrase even makes sense but he who dares and all that! Second of five weddings in the space of nine days – gotta love numbers. The eagle eyed among you are probably wondering where the first of the five weddings went to; well, that was a couple of days ago but the bride & groom preferred that I didn’t blog their images, and I respect that of course.

So, here we are at Glenbervie House, my local venue, literally. And, wouldn’t you know it, I’m here again in four days time. Anyway, enough of all these numbers; today I’m with Shonagh and Andrew for their big day and, very much like their pre-wedding shoot a few weeks back, it’s very chilly – “can I remove goosebumps in Photoshop” someone said while we were doing the group shots :-). But, a little chill isn’t going to spoil anything today and everyone seems to be having a great time.
