Hey Mike, these are absolutely fantastic. As I said earlier you are so talented! Appreciate everything you did for us on Saturday!

It was Frank Zappa. My dad has quite the eclectic taste in music and I knew I’d struggle to get him up for a dance. It was such a surprise for him! Erin definitely stole the show with her dance to Let It Go. Even when she fell at the end it was like she meant it!

    Thank you so much!ReplyCancel

Glasgow Wedding Photography:
Aileen & Scott at Oran Mor

Blog posts coming thick and fast at the moment after my short sabatical and today I’m very pleased to be sharing some images from Aileen & Scott’s wedding last month at the fantastic Oran Mor in Glasgow. The guys only booked me about a month before the wedding due to a few issues with their existing photographer and, naturally, I’m really pleased they did as this was a fantastic day all round. Beautiful day weather wise so had to make sure I had the old factor 15 on to avoid the customary sunburnt head – still failed badly though.

Big football theme going on with Scott being a huge Motherwell fan and Aileen following Celtic – hope I’ve got that the right way round guys as I know how important these things can be – it’s like someone having me down as an Arsenal supporter!!! Seemed to recall that James McFadden featured quite heavily in the speeches as well – Scott’s favourite player I recall for which he took the usual ribbing from the masses. Loved all the football related table decorations and football pitch table plan…now, if only I had thought along those lines as a theme for my own wedding, although not sure it would have got past the gatekeeper (ie the missus).

Glasgow Wedding Photography:
Gillian & Paul at the Lynnhurst Hotel

First of a double header this weekend and kicking off over in Johnstone at the Lynnhurst Hotel for Gillian & Paul’s big day. This is about the fourth time I’ve shot at the Lynnhurst which is slightly odd as it’s a fair old distance from where I’m based. I guess the thing is, once you’ve shot a wedding at a certain venue, other couples then see the post on my blog and, if they like what they see, go ahead and arrange to meet and hopefully book – all hail to the power of the web I guess!

    No Distance Too Far:
A Very Joyous Wedding at Airth Castle

First wedding of the year for me and it’s freezing…brrrr! I’m even sporting a jumper for the first time in what seems like ages. Could do the sensible thing and wear a coat I guess but that just feels so restrictive, especially when I go into “crazy photographer” mode and start lying on floors and the like.

With Nikki & Josh today, kicking off with their ceremony at Cathcart Trinity Church before hotfooting it up to Airth Castle for their reception. Been to Airth Castle a few times before but Cathcart Trinity is a new venue for me. Naturally, I’ve been at quite a few church ceremonies in the past but I can honestly say that today was one of the most upbeat and joyous I’ve ever attended, complete with a cracking band and choral singers. Rather stupidly, I positioned myself next to the band to kick off with and was rudely shaken to the core as soon as the drums kicked in…swiftly I moved to the other side of the room :-).

Jenna & Gary at the Garfield Hotel

Second wedding in three days for me and today I’m at the Garfield Hotel in Stepps, near Glasgow, to shoot the wedding of Jenna & Gary. Weather can’t seem to make its mind up – overcast, bit of light rain, then some sun (very welcome) – thankfully, when it came to going outdoors for the group shots and the bride & groom coverage, we were in the sunny part of the day, phew!
