I can’t recall if I mentioned last time out, that May was a busy month for me – six weddings and culminating in a trip “down South” to Northamptonshire too. Plus, there was the small matter of the Champions League drama and all that, and I can tell you guys, that I was still on a total high when it came to shooting Claire & Ronnie’s big day, following Spurs’ last minute winning goal in the semi-final a couple of days previous – pity it didn’t work out in the final but that’s how it goes sometimes!
Anyway, enough football talk, back to the wedding. Claire & Ronnie’s day was, to coin a well used phrase, an “intimate” day with just a small number of family & friends, and also, a slightly shorter day for me covering just the ceremony, couple shoot and speeches before dinner, with a quick stop at the house prior to the ceremony for a few detail shots too.
One of the benefits of the set up on the day was the time we were afforded for the couple shoot, for which we headed off to the fabulous Glasgow Botanics. Usually, I’m lucky if I can get 15 mins for the shoot on most wedding days, although of course that does generally suit my hands-off approach to the day anyway. But no, plenty of time this very day 🙂 although I’ll still try and make most of the shots look like I’m not there…grinning at the camera is definitely not for me..or for most couples I shoot either LOL.
And then off to Arta for a few more couple shots and the speeches before dinner. I love it at Arta, one of my favourite venues, so atmospheric – the pictures below paint a better picture than I can though so I’ll stop waffling for now!
Oh, and do check out that wasp upsetting proceedings during the “walking” shots!!!
Claire & Ronnie, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day. Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like…PS – best viewed on a desktop.

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
I love shooting weddings and, for the most part, I adopt a “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a relaxed bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly amazing pictures…not just your standard stuff :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021…but I do have a limited number of 2020 dates still available too.
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Mike :-).
