There was a point in time when I used to be so behind with blogging the fabulous wedding days that I am so lucky to shoot, that it would literally be a different season when I posted, sometimes a different year even, from the one in which the wedding took place. Thankfully, those days are behind me and today, I’m taking you back just under a month when I was back at the fabulous Balbirnie House shooting Siiri & Grant’s big day!
The last month has definitely been one for visiting venues that I haven’t been at for a while, three years to be exact in the case of Balbirnie, so great to be back again at such a brilliant location.
With Siiri being from Estonia, there was a great mix of cultures on show, with many guests travelling from far and wide to be there and share the day with the guys. Such a great day to shoot … even the weather played ball despite the forecast for rain. And what a fantastic (and unique) idea to play a couple of “Mr & Mrs” themed games after dinner … certainly got everyone laughing for sure, me included!
Siiri & Grant, it was great to be with you all on your amazing day shooting your wedding photography at Balbirnie House and thank you very much for choosing me! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for Balbirnie House Wedding Photography … or anywhere for that matter?
If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast! For the past three years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2026 & 2027 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
