One of the benefits of early wedding season is that I get to blog weddings only a few weeks after the actual event – roll forward to the summer and that’s not usually the case! So, here we are then, just over a month on from the day itself, I’m delighted to be sharing the fabulous day that was Amy & Andrew’s wedding at the ever brilliant Boclair House :-).
I’ve said before that a wee bit of rain never spoilt a good wedding day, and I can now add also that a “lot” of rain never spoilt it either – boy did it rain! But you know, like some modern day miracle, and bang on queue, it stopped – well, it stopped for about ten minutes … but long enough to get all the guests outside for the big group shot that the guys really wanted … and then it rained again!
Rain aside though, honestly, what a truly amazing day! Right from the get go at bridal prep, I always say that you get a good vibe as to how the day’s going to pan out … and I was right again. And what a way to finish too (well, finish for me anyway just before I left) as Amy was treated to a surprise “flash-mob” (if that’s the right word to use – I’m not down with the kids you see!) – honestly, those images deserve a reel unto their own!
What an incredible day and, as usual, I’ll leave the pictures to tell the story. And, as a wee bonus guys, I’ve also created a showreel for this one … scroll down a bit for a look!!!
Amy & Andrew, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please do leave a comment though … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!

Scotland’s Top Ranked Wedding Photojournalist
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
For the second year running, I’ve been recognised as Scotland’s No.1 ranked photographer with the WPJA (both photojournalism and artistic categories), UK Top 10 and World Top 50.
Not sure if this is for you? This should help you decide.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
Would love to hear from you!
