A few years ago, I made the decision to cut down the number of weddings I shoot in December … family time, Xmas and all that, but I still do a few and, this December just gone, I had two fabulous days to shoot, one of which took me up the road to Gleneagles for Kim & Malcolm’s big day!
Having shot over 550 weddings now, it’s fair to say that I’ve probably covered pretty much all types of wedding days, apart that is from a “home” wedding (if you exclude the one that I shot during COVID with only the bride & groom and their mum’s present), so it was great to get the opportunity to tick that box, so to speak.
The day split itself between the guy’s home and the nearby famous Gleneagles Hotel. For me, the day kicked off with bridal prep at the hotel before heading along the road to the house for the intimate ceremony and family pictures. Then it was back to Gleneagles for the meal and a few quick couple shots before one final trip back to the house where we were joined by loads more guests for the evening party … and what a party!
Such a fabulous & unique day to shoot! As usual, I’ll let the pictures tell the full story …
Kim & Malcolm, thank you very much for choosing me for your wedding photography at Gleneagles! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you like … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!

Looking for Gleneagles Wedding Photography … or anywhere for that matter?
If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast! Find out more here about the way I work.
For the past three years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2026 & 2027 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
It was an amazing day, the pictures are captured perfectly.
