Early start today, but fairly local on the flip side, for the first of two pre-wedding shoots this weekend. Heading off to Brig o’ Doon tomorrow for Lee & Craig’s shoot, but today I’m just down the road from base camp in Callendar Park, Falkirk. Done a few pre-wedding shoots here before and it never disappoints – always seem to have been pretty lucky with the weather and today’s no exception – a bit chilly mind, but bright and sunny with it and that just looks great at this time of year – some great colourful backdrops to be found and flattering light with the sun low in the sky.
I’m with Angela & Charles today and, like most couples who do these shoots, they’re naturally a bit apprehensive about what’s to follow. I assure them that everyone feels like that at first and, true to form, as we work through the shots, I can sense that they’re getting more comfortable with what I’m asking them to do. This is pretty much the way it goes with most shoots as, for many couples, this may be the first time they’ve had professional photographs taken.
The guys are getting married at the end of December at The Vu and that should be a good one – white wedding anyone? It’ll look pretty cool on the jetty with snow all around that’s for sure.
