FALKIRK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Â
If the thought of all that posing on your wedding day fills you with dread, then the way i work could be just what you're looking for.
Â
Â
your day, shot totally naturally & candidly so that you can just be "you".
Â
I'm Mike, a WPJA World Top 10 wedding photographer, 550+ weddings over 16 years, Falkirk based but will travel anywhere for a great party.
Â
Sounds good?
Â

Come the big day, I work in a "ninja-like", candid style, documenting your day rather than directing it ... you might even forget I'm there, which isn't a bad thing!
Â
Candid (or documentary) wedding photography isn't for everybody though, and that's totally fine. If you're looking for perfectly posed & styled pictures similar to what you might see in wedding magazines, and a photographer who'll direct you around all day and stage a lot of moments, then I'm definitely not the right fit for you and there are plenty of other guys out there who'll do that for you.
Â
Â
All those little looks, the laughs, the emotions and unscripted moments (good and bad) - the "real" stuff, in other words. That's what I capture!
Â
I want you to look back at your day through your pictures and remember what it "felt" like to be there, not just what it looked like! I hope you do too.
Â
Â
Absolutely! I've been around a while now, shooting over 500 weddings across 16 years in all conditions - we do live in Scotland after all. Pouring rain, snow, dark churches, drunk guests, trashed wedding cakes (true story) etc etc - yep, I've pretty much seen it all ... and dealt with it all - you're in good hands guys!
Â
These days, I only shoot around 20 weddings a year, so you can be assured that I'll be giving each and every wedding maximum focus both on the day itself and afterwards too working on your pictures and albums.

Â
Although I do generally take a more hands-off approach, on what can often be a hectic day, some "couple time" pictures away from the crowd can be a good thing, if you want it. I recognise that, for a lot of couples, this can be a little daunting ... but fear not. Chilled out and natural is how we go - no cheesy grinning, no awkward stiff posing ... you just be you and I'll take the pictures.
Â
Think of it more as a short break from the party ... 10 to 15 mins just to yourselves which you totally deserve. Go for a walk, grab a seat somewhere, watch the world go by ... it's up to you!

Â
An endless list of stiff, boring, formal poses is not for me. But there's nothing to stop you grabbing a few folk together for some quick group shots if you wish.
Â
Maybe your wedding party, parents, close family, a few besties etc. You decide ... or have none at all if you prefer.
Â
Whatever you decide, it'll be quick - no intricate posing of hands and feet, no standing stiff as a board. Connection rather than perfection is the name of the game.
Â
Oh, we'll have a bit of fun doing them as well!
