“Dunkeld House” Wedding : Lynsay & Andrew

Blog time again folks and today I’m taking you back to June when I was back for the first time in a wee while at the fabulous Dunkeld House Hotel for Lynsay & Andrew’s big day .. and what a day!

Although I’m never really one to choose a venue over another, I’ve got to say that Dunkeld House is absolutely one of my favourite venues … and “weather ready” too – and by that I mean that it has just as many great photo ops indoors as outdoors … always important if you get a rain day, which we did this very day.

It’s actually an important thing to consider! I’ve never really been asked for much advice on venues (as the venue is often already booked before the photographer) but, the one thing I do tell couples if asked, is to imagine how their day would look in a worst case, rain all day, scenario. What does the venue have to offer indoors if you can’t get outside. It can sometimes be the case that venues that look fabulous outdoors, just don’t have that much to offer indoors – some have next to nothing :-(, so it really is worth doing your research. Thankfully, no such issues at Dunkeld :-).

Back to the day then and the guys were very kind enough to send me a few kind words that summed up their experience on the day …

“Mike was one of our very first bookings, when we were planning our wedding, as he had came recommended by 2 friends. We didn’t want to spend our whole day doing too many ‘posed’ photos, and instead wanted the more natural moments captured, which is exactly what he did. We would never have known he was there (in the nicest way possible) but somehow he managed to capture the love and magic of the day. All of our guests thought he was fantastic and we’re so glad we had such an amazing photographer. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much Mike, you made our day so special.”

Thank you guys :-). Again, it’s nice to see that my non-intrusive style ticks the box – I do try, for the most part, to stay in the background and not take you away from your guests for too long, so if you don’t notice me too much, that’s a good thing in my book!

Lynsay & Andrew, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your incredible day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2022, 2023 and even 2024 … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.

Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
