Ghillie Dhu Wedding : Sammy & Richard

“Mike captured our day perfectly, and in a way that we didn’t think was possible. From our first contact almost 3 years ago up until today Mike’s service has been impeccable. He is friendly, puts you at ease and is amazing at what he does.”

Sammy & Richard, 26th June 2019

My penultimate wedding of last year took me back again to the fabulous Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh for Sammy & Richard’s big day. Strangely, for those that find facts like these of interest :-), my last wedding of 2017 was also at this very venue…go figure LOL. Anyway, random facts aside, I couldn’t think of a better place to be at this time of year, what with all the Christmas lights up in town and the like!

The guys had booked me over two years in advance of their date but, for anyone thinking that’s way too early, let me tell you guys it certainly is not – the period between Christmas and New Year is definitely a popular one for weddings these days and each year I tend to shoot at least one, sometimes two and, last year, three – so it’s never too early to book!

So, what of the day? Well, let me tell you that this was one of the absolute best weddings I shot last year – a total blast right from the bridal prep through to the dancing – Sammy & Richard two of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with – thank you guys :-). And how could we not mention their Cocker Spaniel, Austin, in a very important supporting role… As usual guys, I’ll let the pictures tell the story…check out the shots at The Dome on George Street especially!

Sammy & Richard, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day. Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like…PS – best viewed on a desktop.

Please all feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I love to know what you think…cheers all!

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

I love shooting weddings and, for the most part, I adopt a “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for those important family group shots and also, a relaxed bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly amazing pictures…not just your standard stuff :-). To know more about my wedding day  approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021…but I do have a limited number of 2020 dates still available too.

Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Mike :-).
