Where do we start?!
From our initial email consultation right through to the production of our Wedding Album, Mike has been outstanding to work with. We booked a pre wedding shoot which although we were apprehensive about turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience where we got to know Mike and he got to know what we were looking for. We selected one of the photos from the day and gave it to our parents as a thank you on the day which they were delighted with.
All the consultations about the day and how it would run was very efficient and all questions were answered promptly. The day itself was fantastic and Mike was excellent and blended in, to the point we sometimes didn’t realise he was there. He didn’t take up too much time and really made sure he had all the best shots! We received a digital copy of our prints pretty quick after the wedding and to say we were blown away is an understatement. We were also lucky to have won a competition for the most likes on our blog and received a framed print. We had also decided to purchase a wedding album which has been a fantastic way to show our photos off.
The service we have received from Mike exceeded all expectations and the quality of the photos and our album is truly amazing. We really couldn’t thank Mike enough and he definitely has captured our day perfectly!

We had Mike for our wedding at Duck Bay Marina in March and I cannot recommend him enough. From our first chat he put us at ease and was eager to listen to what we wanted for the day.
When the big day arrived he worked hard throughout and was just very easy going, only taking us away from our guests for as little time as needed. I must advise though that it is definitely worth the 20 minutes or so, to go away for the private shoot as the photos we received from them are top class.
He was everything we were hoping for from a photographer and we were delighted with the end result. All in all, if you’re looking for someone you can rely on for your big day I would definitely highly recommend Mike.

We recently used Mike’s photography skills for our wedding on the 14.02.16, and we can not recommend this man more highly! From initial contact with Mike, his communication has been excellent. At our initial meeting, he really listened to what we wanted from a wedding photographer, and we knew we were in trusted hands. We did a pre wedding shoot, and again Mike gave us lots of input into what styles of photos we liked, and what we wanted him to do on our wedding day.
Our biggest compliment to him from our wedding is that we barely noticed him at all! He was very unobtrusive yet managed to capture the key moments throughout the day beautifully. He even managed to get our cocker spaniel Layla in our photos, and she never sits still! Our finished photos are stunning, and we are delighted with them. We have had so many positive comments about them.

Mike photographed our wedding in July 2014 and couldn’t have done a better job, we are totally delighted with the photos! He is really friendly and was great at staying in touch both before and after the wedding. On the day itself, he was unobtrusive and we felt totally relaxed getting our pictures taken by him. We also felt that having our photos taken (both group shots and individual pictures) didn’t take away too much time away from the day at all. Looking back it feels like he managed to capture the whole day from start to finish and many of the pictures were not posed/formal.
When it came to making the album Mike gave us suggestions of what to do to help start us off and then was very patient with all the changes we suggested. The finished product is amazing, we are so delighted with it, and so glad that we decided to get an album, as we hadn’t been sure at first. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it is beautiful and will be treasured.

I had found Mike through the Scottish Wedding Directory forum as he was offering an excellent deal on one of his wedding packages. Contact was prompt and always polite and the photos on his website were fantastic. I knew we had to book him as the offer was unbelievable. We booked Mike just under 2 years before our wedding. The November before our wedding we met in person and did a pre-wedding shoot at the Kelpies. We were both apprehensive about being in front of the camera in normal clothes in such a public place but Mike put us both at ease right away. The pre-wedding shoot was great fun and the pictures we received are fantastic. I couldn’t recommend a pre-wedding shoot enough as Mike guides you through how he will take photos on the wedding day and this will save a lot of time on the day itself so that you can spend more time with your guests!
On the wedding day Mike arrived on time at the apartment the girls were getting ready in. He blended in the background shooting away, I hardly noticed him and didn’t have to pose once. At the venue again the only time we noticed him was during our “family” photos and his direction was again excellent. We received our photos just over 3 weeks after our wedding and they are fantastic. They captured all the key moments of our day and many more of our guests which we did not see on the day. I couldn’t recommend Mike enough. He is such an easy guy to get on with and his photos are excellent. He has such an eye for detail!
We do not have an album yet but it’s our plan to have one. I can’t wait for Mike to design it all for us.

We were completely daunted at the prospect of finding a photographer who would be able to showcase our wedding against the very low light of our beautiful venue (The Caves – Edinburgh). Mike was recommended to us by a friend whose wedding he had shot and from the first time that we met him we felt entirely at ease and confident that our photography would reflect the essence of the day.
Mike’s photography package prices were very affordable, he was very friendly and not afraid to suggest things that would work and similarly tell us when they wouldn’t.
Mike also seemed to have an art of disappearing into the environment. We have amazing pictures but I can genuinely say that Mike was so unobtrusive that at times I didn’t even notice him being there – sorry Mike (it’s a good thing!)
