Let me take you back to July today folks, longer days, warmer weather and all that, when I effectively got off the plane from Kos and onto a ferry across to the Isle of Bute for Ashley & Harley’s big day at the utterly amazing venue that is Mount Stuart House…my first visit there but, hopefully, not my last. OK, so there was one day between the plane and the boat but you get my drift :-).
So yeah, the Isle of Bute…not far from the Ayrshire coast, only 30 mins on the ferry but, an island all the same, meaning a wee weekender trip for me – over on Friday afternoon and back on the Sunday morning, jet setter that I am :-).
So what of the day? Well, let’s be honest guys, this was one of the best weddings ever…and I’ve done a few now (just shy of 400 for those interested). Perfect weather, a fabulous crowd and one hell of a stunning venue. To be fair, even though it’s not my style to shoot endless hours of bride & groom shots (as I’m more of an “in the moment” sort of guy), I could have easily done so (wedding day time permitting), as there’s just so many great spots both inside and outside…and you definitely can’t say that about every venue!
I mean, just take a look at these shots guys – a bridal prep room to die for (was a wee bit warm mind with all that glass LOL), snooker for the guys pre-ceremony, an “in-house” chapel for the ceremony (complete with canine ring delivery :-)), jaw-dropping reception room, stunning balconies and staircase and totally awesome surroundings…what is there not to like? And if you think my descriptions are over the top, just scroll down…
Ashley & Harley, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day. Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a limited number of 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
And, depending of course when you’re reading this, but, as a wee Xmas pressie from me, book with me before December 24th and I’ll take 20% off the usual package costs for you, so a saving of between £300 and £500 :-).
Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).
Mike :-).
