Four months in, and there’s finally some light at the end of the tunnel guys with small weddings being allowed to take place again very soon, so hopefully, fingers crossed, I’ll be back out there again doing what I love :-). Meantime though, back to blogging last years weddings and we’ve now reached December – won’t be too long before I’ve totally caught up on myself and there’ll be little left to blog!
Louise & Paul’s big day took place at a venue that I’m pretty familiar with, the fabulous Sherbrooke Castle, with the ceremony first up, just across the road at Mosspark Parish Church. To say that it was a wee bit wet would probably be an understatment … honestly, I don’t recall the rain letting up at all, and the pictures are pretty much testament to that. Anyway, a drop of rain never spoilt a good party, and that’s exactly what we got :-).
The guys were very kind enough to send me some very nice words about the day, that probably sum things up better than I can …
When we were looking for a photographer, we didn’t realise how many different types of photography styles there are. We were overwhelmed by how many different photographers there were out there!
We decided to pick Mike because of his style of photography. He captures those moments that you’d think would be impossible to catch. His candid pictures are phenomenal! We had the most amazing wedding and are so happy with our photographs. We would love to have got some more shots outside but the rain wasn’t for stopping! It didn’t stop us from heading out to try our best for a shot in the rain… Mike didn’t disappoint as one of our favourite shots is actually in the rain!!

Thanks guys! You probably know by now that my shooting style on the day is very documentary, very observational, capturing real stuff not “fake”. Anyway, no more waffle … as usual, I’ll let the pictures tell the story.
Louise & Paul, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like. Oh, and stay safe people :-).
Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).
Mike :-).
