Wedding no.32 of the year took me off to pastures new deep into the heart of the Trossachs…namely Monachyle Mhor Hotel for Kate & Iain’s fabulous wedding day. And what a venue it is…all farmhouses and barns set in the most gorgeous place…even the slight drizzle, overcast conditions and low cloud that we had on the day didn’t look out of place…in many ways adding to the beauty of the setting :-).
A quick stop off at the sister hotel, Mhor 84, gave me the chance to do a few shots with Iain and the guys before heading down the single track road to start the bridal prep shots with Kate and the girls…all very discreetly of course…going in “all guns blazing” is just not my thing.
I’ve got to admit it, I love shooting weddings in places like this…the usual formalities that you often have in hotels and the like, just don’t seem to exist leaving you free to enjoy the day just the way you want it…and that’s a “win-win” for the photography as well.
Kate & Iain, a big thank you for choosing me to shoot your fantastic day. Despite the slightly scary “four mile drive down a dark single track road with a drop to a loch on one side” drive on the way home…ths was one of my favourite weddings of the year :-).
Here’s just a few of my own favourites which I hope you like – click on any image to enlarge.
