Second wedding of my first double header of the year saw me in Edinburgh, Norton House Hotel to be exact for Carol & David’s wedding. I’d shot Carol’s sister Michelle’s wedding around this time last year so naturally I was delighted to be asked to shoot Carol’s big day too. Although I’d been at Norton House a few times before, this was only the second time that I’d photographed in the Garden Suite and boy, do I remember the last time I was there, when I accidentally spilt a glass of wine (white wine thankfully) over the bride’s dress – oh the dangers of being a wedding photographer sometimes. Thankfully, in the intervening years, I’ve learnt to look behind table menus when I go to shake hands with the bride & groom :-).
One of the shots I’d always wanted to do at the Garden Suite, and had never had the chance up until now, was to use the small outdoor pool next to the spa, as I had an idea that we could get some cool reflections off the water. Did attract a few strange looks though from the spa goers as I set up my lights for the shot and, Carol & David, a big thank you for going through with that shot despite quite a few onlookers from behind the windows :-).
Guys, thank you for choosing me to shoot your wedding day. Here’s just a few of my early favourites which I hope you like – just click on any thumbnail to start the viewer.

Family & friends (plus anyone else who might stop by), it would be fantastic if you could leave a comment at the bottom of the post as I love to hear what you think :-), and, you can help Carol & David win my monthly competition to win an 18″ x 12″ framed print of their choice. Also, if you really like these pictures, why not give me a “Like” on my Facebook page to keep in touch with what I’m up to – would be great to have you on board!
