Wedding Photography at The CavesKara & Louis

Onwards today with blogging some new weddings, although when I say “new”, I mean “new” to the blog, but hardly “new”, as in I only shot the wedding recently – if only…but I am trying hard to get the blogging more up to date. But hey, it matters not too much when they’re all fabulous weddings to share with you and today, I’m totally delighted to be featuring another cracker…Kara & Louis’ big day at The Caves in Edinburgh’s Old Town…from October last year!

For anyone that’s never been to The Caves, let me tell you that it is a truly unique venue, built as it is around some of the many caves that run through this part of town…but I guess the clue’s in the title LOL.

Whilst being very unique, The Caves is actually a tricky place to shoot – it’s dark (as you would expect) which requires for the most part using my own lighting to make sure that we can see everyone but…on the flip side, you don’t want to be going and lighting it up like Blackpool Illuminations, as it’s important to keep the dark ambience, so it’s very much a balancing act!

Kara & Louis, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day. Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like…PS – best viewed on a desktop (click on any thumbnail to view L A R G E!).

Please all feel free to leave a comment at the bottom, as I love to know what you think…cheers all!

Getting Married & Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

I love shooting weddings and, for the most part, I adopt a “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for those important family group shots and also, a relaxed bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly amazing pictures…not just your standard stuff :-). To know more about my wedding day  approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

Full day coverage collections start at £1300…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £400 :-).

Mike :-).
