So, racking up just one solitary blog post per week at the moment folks…must try harder going forward! Still one is better than none and today, I’m pleased to feature some images from Karen & Dave’s wedding back at the end of December. This was the third of my five weddings over Christmas and the New Year and, in weather terms, definitely the worst. Let’s face it, we’ve had a pretty awful winter in terms of the amount of rainfall…feels like it’s never been dry long enough for the ground to dry up. Having said that, most of the weddings I shot around this time did have at least one tiny part of the day where the rain stopped, allowing us to get out and about for a few minutes at least…but not this time!
So, indoors it was for all of the day, unless you count the quick run from car to church, St. Thomas’ in Riddrie – no more than a minute but enough for me to get an absolute drenching! I always feel really sorry for couples in these sort of conditions – plan B always involved shooting indoors but, let’s face it, plan A and outdoors is always best, especially when the window of opportunity is shortened due to the number of daylight hours at this time of year. Still, it is what it is and at least it does afford us the opportunity to play around with lights indoors, both flashlight and tungsten light, and these always create some dramatic shots, which I love!
win a portrait shoot
Anyway, Karen & Dave, a big thank you for asking me to photograph your wedding day. Here’s some of my favourite images from the day. Please do leave a comment or two at the bottom of the post as it’s always very much appreciated. And, as a new little extra, each and every one of you who leaves a comment, will be entered into a monthly draw to win a portrait shoot worth £75.
Plus, what would be really fantastic, is a “Like” on my Facebook page as it’s always great to get new people on board and it’ll keep you bang up to date with what I’m up to.
