East Kilbride Portrait Photography: Pamela & Geoff’s Pre-Wedding shoot at Calderglen Park

For anyone that’s been following my blog of late, you’ll have noticed me whinging on about rain, rain and more rain. Well, today it didn’t rain, but it was touch and go up to a point. We’d already postponed Pamela & Geoff’s pre-wedding shoot once due to the Scottish climate, and today it looked like it might happen again. But thankfully not…as I set off for Calderglen Park in East Kilbride for our early evening shoot.

Calderglen Park is a great place for this type of shoot and the Glen itself apparently extends over 5km, but I think I barely tackled about 500 yards of it today with the imminent onset of rain…there’s that word again!

The guys are getting married very shortly and I’m really looking forward to photographing their big day. But today was all about the pre-wedding shoot and trying out some ideas. Pre-wedding shoots are a great way of getting used to being in front of the camera before your wedding day. Pretty much every couple I’ve photographed comment on how they felt awkward, perhaps even a touch nervous, at the start of their pre-wedding shoot but, about an hour and half later, had easily relaxed into it and started to enjoy it. And that can’t be a bad thing.

Pamela & Geoff, thank you for going along with my ideas during the shoot. Hope you like the images…here’s some of my favourites.
