So guys, last week, I shipped out the first of this year’s wedding albums, and there’ll be plenty more to come over the next few weeks as I count 8 albums that are currently in production at the lab, and about 7 that I’m working on the design at the present…who says wedding albums are dead!
Michelle & Billy were married at one of my most popular venues, The Vu, last August, and we’d wrapped up the design of the album just before Christmas. For their album, the guys opted for Graphistudio’s Original Wedding Album and went for one of the very popular “crystal glance” acrylic covers. The album was bound in black leather and, as always, the pages were printed on my paper of choice, metallic, and then toned down with a satin lamination. The album was topped off with a sleeve in the black leather material to complement the album.
For the cover design itself, Michelle had seen a cover on the lab’s website that had the background slightly blurred out, and had asked if I could recreate it for their own cover. Happy to oblige and a little time spent in Photoshop gave us the result that you see above…personally, I think it works really well with this image.
You can probably tell guys that I’m a big big fan of wedding albums and I absolutely love to see your wedding pictures displayed in this way :-). Of course, I’m biased, but I do believe that I use the best album company in the world, Graphistudio from Italy, used by the majority of top professional wedding photographers worldwide. Check these out…there’s so many ways in which the album can be customised in terms of covers, back & spines, boxes, colours etc, that apparently there are about 4 million different combinations in total!
Anyway, here’s a few images of the actual album, along with the proof design for all of the pages.
Please leave a comment…I love to know what you think
Family & friends (plus anyone else who might stop by), it would be fantastic if you could leave a comment at the bottom of the post (using either of the comment box options) as I love to hear what you think :-). Also, if you really like this album design, why not give me a “Like” on my Facebook page to keep in touch with what I’m up to – would be great to have you on board!
