Marie & Thomas’ Pre-Wedding Shoot in Callendar Park

So, after a couple of weeks off (one planned and one not), I’m back in the groove today (wow, how eighties is that phrase – I sound like a radio DJ from a bygone era), and on pre-wedding shoot duty with Marie & Thomas. And, I’m close to home, just down the road in Falkirk at Callendar Park. I’ve done quite a few shoots here before and it’s a great location to just go off on a wander and see what transpires and that’s exactly what we do today.

Photography isn’t usually regarded as a dangerous occupation – no hiked-up insurance premiums or anything like that, but, it does sometimes come with it’s perils in seeking out that perfect shot. Today, in the space of no more than 30 minutes, I almost fell down a grass bank, was literally inches away from falling in the water when stepping backwards without looking and, to cap it all off, slid in the mud and got my feet covered in the stuff, all to Marie & Thomas’ amusement I would add…and why not, I would have done the same had the (muddy) shoe been on the other foot! Folks, you will never see me get really dressed up in a suit and tie to photograph a wedding as I can guarantee it would look a right mess before we even got to the ceremony!
