Sometimes, when I first meet couples, their wedding can be a couple of years away (or even more in some cases). Other times, it can be just a matter of weeks as was the case with Lynsey & Brian. They had already booked a photographer for their wedding day but unfortunately, due to issues beyond their control, they found themselves having to look again at the 11th hour. And, of course, I’m dead pleased that they chose to go with me. And, we still had just about enough time to fit in their pre-wedding shoot as well, which is where we found ourselves this evening, in Glasgow Green to be precise.
I was here only a few weeks ago on another shoot and that day it rained constantly and, to cap it all off, the Doulton Fountain was covered in scaffolding! No such problems tonight – the sunshine we’ve had for much of the day has sadly disappeared but, hey, at least it’s dry and there’s some good light around. And, if you can’t find the right light, you have to create it, so out came the speedlights tonight for a few of the later shots.
Lynsey & Brian are getting married very very shortly at the fantastic Dalmeny Park and I’m really looking forward to capturing that for them. Meantime, here’s a few images from the pre-wedding shoot. The full set, as usual, can be found in the online gallery (password required).
