A new week (well, mid week now) and a new post for the blog and, yes, some of my posts are going a wee bit out of order based on the dates of the weddings so apologies guys. Anyway, that said, I’m very pleased today to be sharing some pictures from Julie & Lewis’s wedding at Keavil House back at the end of March. You know you’ve shot at a venue quite a lot when you start getting that knowing nod from the staff when you arrive for the day, and Keavil House is no exception now – strange, as it’s not really a “local” venue for me, but I guess once you’ve shot a few weddings at a venue, word gets round :-).
March weddings can be a bit “hit & miss” in terms of weather; I’ve shot some where it’s been pretty warm and others absolutely baltic! This day, I would say it was leaning quite heavily towards the latter, so much so that we decdied to do quite a few of the key bride & groom shots indoors and I’m really pleased we did as they turned out to be some of my favourites :-). Hotel corridors wouldn’t usually have been a place I would choose to take any shots a few years back but, these days, I’m drawn to them like a magnet as I just love positioning the bride & groom right underneath a downlight for some added drama.
