New wedding time again guys, and today I’m totally delighted to be sharing some shots from Gemma & Robert’s big day on my first ever visit to the Boswell Estate down in Ayrshire a few weeks ago … and what a day!
You know, it’s a very strange situation that we’re all in just now. Back in March, weddings began being postponed and rearranged for dates in September/October time, thinking that things should be OK by then – we all thought that I guess. Well, here we are now in November and we’re no better off … new lockdowns are looming and weddings are still restricted in numbers.
That all said, my own belief, from what I’ve witnessed, is that the “new normal” isn’t such a bad thing after all. Sure, you can’t have all the guests that you wanted but, all the key parts of a wedding day are still there and, less numbers leads to a wee bit less formality and, definitiely a more relaxed approach to the day … less stress for sure :-).
Almost as testimony to this, the guys were kind enough to put a few words together for me to sum up their thoughts on the day…
“We, like so many other couples, have had to face so many challenges over the last year on the path to becoming Husband and Wife. Mike was incredibly professional and supportive when we had to cancel our original wedding day, helping us arrange a new date, and then further helping us navigate our way through a much smaller wedding than we had planned in October.
Not only were our photos more than we could have hoped for, Mike captured how truly special and intimate our wedding day was for us, and also for the people who helped celebrate the day along with us – both near and far.
We felt safe and comfortable throughout, and would have no hesitation in recommending Mike in the future to anyone looking for a photographer for their Wedding Day. We may have had a Micro Wedding, but thanks to Mike, we finally got to feel truly special, on what was our Big Day.”

Guys, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like. Oh, and stay safe people :-).
Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2022 and 2023…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2021 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).
Mike :-).
