“Dunglass Estate” Wedding : Rebecca & Michael

So guys, sitting here this February in what seems to be a never ending torrent of rain (when will it ever stop, eh), it’s always great to take a wee trip down memory lane to much warmer times, last September to be exact, as I continue my quest to blog all of last years weddings, and today I have an absolute belter for you all :-).

Rebecca & Michael were married at the fabulous Dunglass Estate, my first ever visit there … but hopefully not the last! It’s odd in a way that when I first moved up from London oh, let me see, about 18 years ago now, I lived out in Dunbar, not too far from Dunglass, and probably drove past it many times without actually realising it was there … who knew! Oh, and the east coast certainly lived up to it’s reputation as one of the sunniest parts of Scotland … absolutely gorgeous it was :-).

I have this theory that the tone of the day can very much be set by the mood at bridal prep, and I think I was on the money again … total blast … and with everything being held in the one venue all day … totally chilled out & thoroughly amazing to shoot. If Carlsberg did weddings, it would probably be just like this!!! And, as a wee bonus, fireworks had been arranged as a surprise for the guys in the evening – fabulous way to end the day (for me anyway, as I’m sure there was more partying after I left LOL).

Just before I began this post, the guys were kind enough to send me a few nice words …

“We found Mike an absolute pleasure to deal with from beginning to end, and knew when we met him for our pre-wedding meeting that we had absolutely chosen the right photographer for us – a true gentlemen. He undertook his role on the big day in a calm and measured manner and made it look easy.  He managed to capture such a diverse range of pictures from dawn until dusk – getting so many of those ‘gem’ moments without you realising he is even there. His reputation of being the photo ninja couldn’t be more accurate! Thanks Mike!”

Thank you guys, much appreciated :-). I won’t waffle on any more and, as usual, will let the pictures tell the story of the day … here goes …

Rebecca & Michael, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)

Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
