So guys, for those of you that follow my blog regularly (you know who you are LOL), you might recall that last time out I was musing over just how changeable the weather can be in March, and bemoaning the bad luck we had with wet (and cold) weather last time out – well, roll on less than a week and how things changed up for Kelly & Simon’s big day at Eskmills Venue – a glorious spring like day no less!!!
Go back less than a year and I’d never shot a wedding at Eskmills before – this was now my fourth! What is is they say about buses and and all that! Anyway, let’s just say I love it here – has that rare mix of greenery and urban all in one place that you just don’t get at too many venues.
The eagle eyed among you (or just anyone really that looks at the shots below :-)), will notice a fair smattering of black & white images. Not every shot works well in b/w but, where it does, it does really well. There’s just something about stripping away the colour, which can, in some cases, be distracting, and just leaving the feeling or emotion of the shot…and it looks pretty cool too! Although guys…ultimately, you shall be the judge and, as usual, rather than bleating on even more, I’ll let the pictures tell the story of the day.
Kelly & Simon, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day. Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like…PS – best viewed on a desktop.
Please all feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I love to know what you think…cheers all!

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
I love shooting weddings and, for the most part, I adopt a “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for those important family group shots and also, a relaxed bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly amazing pictures…not just your standard stuff :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021…but I do have a limited number of 2020 dates still available too.
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Mike :-).
