So folks, first (and realistically last) blog post of the week and the first thing that all you regular followers might notice is a change to the blog styling – yes, I’ve been going through one of those phases again…never quite happy with the look so I think it needs a change. Still, think I’m far happier with this version so may stick with it for a while. Anyway, enough rambling. Today, I’m very pleased to be sharing with you some images from Jenna and Adam’s wedding day at the fantastic Balbirnie House a few days before Christmas. This was the second of my five weddings over the festive period and the last before Christmas Day itself.
We were all in the one place on the day with both bride & groom getting ready at Balbirnie so no running from venue to venue which, on day’s like this when it gets dark pretty much as early as it ever can, is a godsend, and we’re able to make maximum use of the light straight after the ceremony before it starts to fade. Of course, nothing wrong with taking images in the dark – in fact, it can be very effective in creating some dramatic pictures using flash and video lights…as long as there’s just a wee hint of light left in the sky, which we pretty much got :-). And, Balbirnie’s such an amazing venue, that there’s plenty of great places indoors as well for when the light outside disappears – the grand staircase, for example – some great shots there girls…even if I didn’t know what “twerking” was – showing my age I’m afraid!
win a portrait shoot
Anyway, enough waffling; Jenna & Adam, a big thank you for asking me to photograph your wedding day. Here’s some of my favourite images from the day. Please do leave a comment or two at the bottom of the post as it’s always very much appreciated. And, as a new little extra, each and every one of you who leaves a comment, will be entered into a monthly draw to win a portrait shoot worth £75.
Plus, what would be really fantastic, is a “Like” on my Facebook page as it’s always great to get new people on board and it’ll keep you bang up to date with what I’m up to.
