My second wedding of the year back in March took me into Glasgow’s Merchant City for my first ever visit to the Old Fruitmarket to shoot Clare, Mark and their son Sam’s big day … and what an amazing day it was!
As usual, I kicked off with some bridal prep at the house and great to see some familiar faces – Stephanie on make-up duties and bridesmaid Laura, both who’s weddings I shot back in 2016 – boy that seems so long ago now!
From there, it was off to the Old Fruitmarket for the rest of the day. The venue is so unique and nothing like anywhere I’ve ever shot before. It’s often used for concerts so has the benefit of professional stage lighting – a godsend in a dark venue, especially during the ceremony conducted by the brilliant Robert Anthony.
As usual, I shot the day in my candid, documentary style, breaking away only briefly for a few group shots and a super quick couple shoot around the Merchant City.
Clare & Mark, it was great to be with you all on your big day and thank you very much for choosing me for your wedding photography at the Old Fruitmarket!

Looking for Old Fruitmarket Wedding Photography … or anywhere for that matter?
If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast! For the past three years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2026 & 2027 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
