On with the “lockdown” and onwards with blogging last year’s fabulous weddings and today, I’m delighted to be featuring my first wedding of October last year when I ventured west to the fabulous Seamill Hydro for Elaine & Stephen’s big day. I hadn’t been to Seamill for a wee while and, since I was last there, work has been completed on the new Firth Pavilion, and stunning it is too with its views across the Firth of Clyde to Arran :-).
My photography style has evolved a lot over the years and these days I definitely shoot less “posed” shots and more of the completely natural candid moments (albeit with an artisitic twist LOL), and I’d say that’s pretty much how the day panned out, although we did sneak out after dinner for a very short couple shoot in the near darkness 🙂 – thanks guys, it was a bit chilly I know!
My shooting style on the day is very documentary, very observational, capturing real stuff not “fake” – in fact, I’m at my happiest when everyone actually forgets I’m there!!! But that’s a good thing :-).
I’m not one for too many words and, I guess that after all, if I’ve done my job properly, the pictures should give you a pretty good insight into how the day went down …
Elaine & Stephen, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like. Oh, and stay safe people :-).
Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).
Mike :-).
